Privacy Policy
At CMS Studio, we value your trust and are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how CMS Studio ("we," "us," or "our") accesses, processes, and handles information when you use our web application, tools, and services (collectively, the "Portal").
1. Zero-Database Architecture (Our Commitment)
CMS Studio is built on a decentralized, zero-database architecture.
- We do not collect, store, or maintain your personal information, resumes, job opportunities, contacts, or calendar invites on our own servers.
- 100% of your application data resides exclusively within your own private Google Drive account, inside a Google Sheet and folder that you own and control.
2. Google APIs & Scopes We Access
To provide job search optimization, resume building, and communication tracking, the Portal requests permission to access the following Google Services on your behalf:
- Google Drive & Google Sheets (
.../auth/drive,.../auth/spreadsheets): Used to create and manage the "Career Studio" folder in your Drive, and write your job search data directly to your personal database Google Sheet. - Gmail (
.../auth/gmail.send): Used to compose and send professional outreach and job application emails directly from your personal Gmail account when you trigger them in the dashboard. - Google Calendar (
.../auth/calendar): Used to sync and log job interview dates and reminders directly to your Google Calendar. - External API Requests (
.../auth/script.external_request): Used to securely connect the user interface to our validation gateway to check subscription status.
3. How We Use and Share Your Data (Limited Use Policy)
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal information or Google user data with any third parties.
CMS Studio’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:
"The use of information received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements."
- We only access your Google data to perform actions you explicitly trigger in the Portal (such as saving a contact, creating a folder, scheduling an interview, or sending an email).
- We do not use your Google data for serving advertisements, profiling, or training AI models.
- We do not transfer or copy your data out of your Google account under any circumstances.
4. Security of Your Data
Since all your data resides in your Google account, it is protected by Google’s enterprise-grade security protocols. We recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your Google account to ensure your data remains secure.
5. Revoking App Access
You are in complete control of your data and permissions. You can revoke CMS Studio's access to your Google account at any time by:
- Visiting your Google Account settings page.
- Navigating to Security > Third-party apps with account access.
- Selecting CMS Studio and clicking Remove Access.
Once revoked, the Portal will no longer be able to read or write to your workbook or access any Google services.
